Success With Ebay

Ebay.. the name spell success. It is a big business having multi billions dollars of tranaction happening in a year. There are countless person having a earning of 6 figure income. And of course many others having a regular income varying netween $500-$5000 per month. There are many persons, who has taken up this as a career but dropped it because they did not feel as an opportunity due to some or the other reason. There are certain guidelines which need to be followed to be successful in ebay like other business demands. Few of them are:

(1) Dedication

There will be a circumstance, when you will make a profit of only $10 out of your $1000 transaction and that also will go away if buyer finds the item defective one (damage during transit etc.). You may feel frustrated at times but you should not give up. You need to dedicate yourself and should not lose your focus due to initial failure.

(2) Start Up Cost

In the initial days, you may have to invest your money into stocks and other stuff like maintainence etc. Also you may not expect some big turnaround in the first few months. So you have to keep saving to run your family for few months. So before starting, make sure you have the money to back up yourself.

However now a days, there are some companies who offer you some wonderful opportunity, wherein you dont have to buy and keep anything in stock. Instead you can just buy it after you receive the order and the company ships the items directly to your buyer at your price and give you your margin.

(3) Marketing

You need to draw effective strategy for marketing of your products. There are many feature available with ebay which will make your product in focus. Apart from that, you may also try some other online and offline promotion plan.

(4) What to sell

Always try to find some product which are not commonly available in the neighbourhood shop and where you can add value. In these type of product, you will get better margin. Also you should make arrangement to buy your goods from wholesaler in order to increase your margin.

Never sell junk items which are having no value and is having only short term gains. Otherwise you will lose your credibility.

(5) Work Place

Most of the ebay seller work from home and in this case its better to make it nicely arranged and keep it away from your personal day to day life. This will give you a feel of professionalism and you will be able to concentrate more on it.

(6) Details

You should make sure that you are organising everything like you do for any other business. Noting down each and every details. This will help you not to miss out any stuff and give better customer service


Also you need to pay special care for account keeping like inventory and investment details. Amount payable and receivables etc.
